Hot Fudge Sauce
Hot Fudge Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. heavy or whipping cream, 3/4 c. sugar, 4 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, chopped, 2 tbsp. light corn syrup and 2 tbsp. margarine or butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In heavy, 2-quart saucepan, heat whipping cream, sugar, chocolate and corn syrup over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Cook 4 to 5 minutes longer until sauce thickens slightly (mixture should be gently boiling), stirring constantly.
Remove pan from heat.
Stir in margarine and vanilla until smooth.
Serve immediately or cool completely.
Cover and refrigerate.
Do not cover sauce until it is cold.
Makes 1 1/2 cups.
