Hoover Cake
Hoover Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 3/4 c. shortening, 2 eggs and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine sugar, brown sugar and shortening.
Mix until creamy. Mix eggs and buttermilk and add to sugar mix.
Sift flour, nutmeg, soda and baking powder.
Add in parts to sugar and buttermilk. Bake in cake pan, lightly greased, at 350Β° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
