Honey Pecan Cake
Honey Pecan Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. vinegar, 1 c. cooking oil, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3 eggs and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Combine 1 tablespoon vinegar and enough milk to make 1 cup; set aside.
Stir cooking oil into sugar; add eggs and vanilla.
Beat 1 minute at medium speed of electric mixer.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour milk.
Beat 1 minute more.
Stir in pecans.
Pour into greased 10-inch fluted tube pan.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 40 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Poke holes in hot cake.
Drizzle with honey syrup
Boil together 1/4 cup honey, 1 teaspoon water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
