Honey Fruit Cookies
Honey Fruit Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour, 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. ground ginger, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Combine the flours, cinnamon, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, soda and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
In mixer bowl beat butter or margarine 30 seconds.
Add sugar and honey; beat until well blended.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Stir in milk.
Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture.
Beat well.
Fold in dates, cherries and nuts.
Drop dough from a teaspoon 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.
Top each with a pecan half or candied cherry, if desired.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
Cool on rack.
