Put corn and soda in a big, clean wash pot.

Fill with water and build fire around pot.

Boil and keep adding water as it cooks.

Stir the corn real often to try to keep from sticking. Cook until tender.

Dip corn from the pot and drain water off. Put in enamel pans and wash until water is clear.

Get the black eyes out while washing.

Pack in clean jars and cook in pressure canner for 20 minutes at 10 pounds pressure.

Do not put in freezer.
