Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 9 eggs, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. vanilla, 4 c. sugar and 1 pt. half and half cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Beat eggs well with salt and sugar.
Add part of milk and cream; add vanilla and rest of milk and cream.
Beat all together. Fill freezer not more than 3/4 full (it expands in freezer), then beat in freezer until it becomes foamy on top.
Add the ice and salt around the outside of the ice cream holder and turn until it becomes stiff.
