Homemade Rolls
Homemade Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 2/3 c. sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 2 pkg. yeast and 2 eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Pour 1 cup boiling water over shortening in bowl, stirring until melted.
Stir in sugar and salt until dissolved.
Cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast in 1 cup lukewarm water.
Add to shortening mixture with eggs and enough flour to make soft dough. Let rise, covered, in warm place until doubled in bulk.
Punch dough down.
Place in refrigerator for 2 hours to 1 week.
