Homemade Pastry
Homemade Pastry is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shortening and 4 to 5 tbsp. cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In a medium bowl combine flour and salt.
Using a pastry blender or two forks, cut in the shortening until pieces are the size of small peas.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the water over part of the mixture, then gently toss with a fork.
Push the moistened mixture to the side of the bowl.
Repeat using 1 tablespoon of the water at a time, until all the dough is moistened.
Form dough in a ball.
Makes one 9-inch pie.
