Homemade Mushroom Spaghetti Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 2 cloves crushed garlic, 1 1/3 c. (12 oz.) tomato paste and 2 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In 2-quart saucepan, heat oil; saute onion and garlic until tender.
Stir in tomato paste, water, mushrooms, oregano, basil, sugar, salt and pepper.
Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat; simmer gently, uncovered, for 30 minutes or longer, stirring occasionally.
Serve over hot pasta.
