Homemade Hot Rolls
Homemade Hot Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 c. boiling water, 2 pkg. yeast and 1 c. lukewarm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix shortening and sugar with mixer.
Pour boiling water over shortening/sugar mixture.
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water, then pour over mixture.
Beat 2 eggs; add.
Add 2 cups flour and salt, then use mixer to blend.
Add 4 more cups of flour and mix by hand.
Grease top of dough and put into greased Tupperware bowl. Seal bowl and refrigerate overnight.
Roll out 1/4 inch thick, cut and dip in melted butter.
Fold over.
Let rise 2 to 3 hours. Cook at 400Β° for 15 to 20 minutes.
