Homemade Biscuits
Homemade Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 c. shortening and milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Put flour in wooden dough bowl.
In center, make a hole.
Put shortening in hole; add milk slowly, working in shortening and milk with your fingers.
Continue adding milk until shortening is worked in.
Knead dough until it makes a well floured, easy to handle dough.
Pinch off small pieces and roll in the palm of hands.
Place on baking sheet; using your hands, press dough flat. Bake at 450Β° until bottoms are brown.
Place under broiler until top browns.
Serve with homemade butter and homemade syrup. Makes about 12, depending on size.
