Holiday Egg Nog
Holiday Egg Nog is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 doz. eggs, 1 lb. superfine sugar, 1 qt. whiskey, 1 pt. brandy and 1 qt. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Separate egg whites and yolks.
Beat yolks with sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Add the whiskey and brandy very slowly.
Add cream and milk, rinsing the cream container with some of the milk. Wash beaters thoroughly.
Beat egg whites until stiff; add to the mixture.
Cover with aluminum foil and chill.
Sprinkle each cup of egg nog with nutmeg when serving.
