High-Top Muffins
High-Top Muffins is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Preheat oven to 425Β°.
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix thoroughly.
Make a well in center; pour in buttermilk, oil and egg.
Immediately stir with fork just until dry ingredients are moistened (batter will be lumpy).
Spoon into 6 greased 3 x 1 1/4-inch muffin cups (1/2 cup capacity), filling to the rim.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Serve hot.
Makes 6 large muffins.
