Hermits
Hermits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. oleo (blue bonnet), 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, 2 well beaten eggs, 1 c. raisins and 2 tbsp. molasses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs and molasses.
Sift dry ingredients; add to first mixture, alternating with raisins.
(Add nuts, I don't.)
Wrap in Handi-Wrap or wax paper.
Chill at least 3 hours.
(Can be left in refrigerator 2 to 3 days.)
