Herbed Carrots
Herbed Carrots is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 bunch young carrots, 2 green onions, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. boiling water and 1/4 tsp. basil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Scrub carrots; cut in half lengthwise and crosswise.
Cut onions, including tops, into 1-inch pieces.
Melt butter in a saucepan.
Add carrots, onions, water and herbs, plus a little salt and pepper.
Cover and cook until tender, about 20 minutes. Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces; fry until crisp.
Add to carrots just before serving.
Serves 4.
