Heluskia
Heluskia is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 onion (medium), chopped, 1/2 head cabbage (slaw style), 8 oz. cooked egg noodles (thin) and 1 tbsp. oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Cook noodles according to directions on package.
Brown hamburger, onion and celery in oil.
Add cabbage and steam until tender; do not add water as cabbage will add moisture.
Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste.
Add cooked noodles for the last 5 minutes.
Serve with green salad and French bread.
