Heavenly Onions
Heavenly Onions is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 large bermuda onions, sliced thin, 2 heaping tsp. butter, 8 oz. swiss cheese, grated, 1/4 tsp. pepper and 1 can cream of chicken soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Simmer sliced onions in a little water until tender.
Add butter while onions are hot.
Place in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle cheese on top, then the pepper.
Heat the soup, milk and soy sauce; blend well.
Pour over onions and cheese.
Top with French bread slices that have been buttered; the slices should not be very thick and cut in fourths.
Bake at 350Β° until bubbly and slightly browned.
