Hearty Corn Chowder
Hearty Corn Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 lb. pork sausage meat, 2 tbsp. onion, diced, 3 c. milk, 2 potatoes (uncooked and cubed) and 1 bay leaf, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Break up sausage meat and saute in kettle until crisp and crumbly.
Remove meat and reserve.
To fat, add onion; cook about 10 minutes.
Add milk, potatoes and bay leaf.
Cover; simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Add salt, pepper and corn. Just before serving, add meat and heat through.
Makes 6 servings.
