Made with 1 (32 oz.) pkg. frozen hash potatoes, thawed, 3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted, 1 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped and 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of potato soup or celery soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine potatoes, 1/2 cup butter, onion, pepper, soup, sour cream and cheese; stir well.
Spoon into a greased casserole. Crush cereal; stir in remaining butter.
