Hash Brown Casserole

Saute onion in butter until tender.
Combine onion mixture, hash brown potatoes, sour cream, celery soup and Cheddar cheese in a large bowl.
Stir well.
Spoon potato mixture into a lightly greased 11 x 17 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
Top with crushed cereal and bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 1 hour or until golden brown.
