Hamburger Pinwheels
Hamburger Pinwheels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. oil, 1 tsp. liquid smoke, 1 small onion, chopped, 1 lb. ground beef and 1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Heat oil in skillet. Add onion. Fry until slightly browned. Add ground meats, stirring until done. Season to taste with salt, pepper and liquid smoke.
Roll out biscuit dough 1/4-inch thick to form a rectangle. Spread cooled, cooked meat over dough. Roll as for jelly roll. Cut in 1 1/2-inch thick slices.
Place, cut side down, in greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in preheated 450Β° oven. Serve with Mushroom Sauce.
