Hamburg Vegetable Chowder
Hamburg Vegetable Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. ground beef, 3 tbsp. fat, 2 c. canned tomatoes, 1/2 c. diced celery and 2 c. sliced cabbage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Brown beef in fat in large pot.
Put all ingredients (except potatoes and frozen vegetables) in with the browned beef.
Simmer slowly for 1 hour.
Add potatoes and cook 30 minutes or longer. Add frozen vegetables and cook another 20 minutes.
Add salt if needed and perhaps more water to taste.
Better the day after it is made.
