Ham and Cheese Stuffed Peppers

Cut slice from stem end of peppers, remove seed and cook in boiling salted water for 3 minutes.
Drain.
Saute onion in butter until tender.
Combine ham, stuffing, parsley, pepper, tomatoes and onions.
Take 2 slices of cheese and cut into 6 strips. Repeat with 2 more slices.
Place 3 strips upright in each pepper. Cube remaining cheese and stir into ham mixture.
Pile into peppers.
