Gumdrop Cake
Gumdrop Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. chopped gumdrops, 1 c. chopped nuts or dates, 2 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Roll gumdrops and nuts with 1/2 cup flour.
Sift remaining dry ingredients together.
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.
Alternately add dry ingredients and milk. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed on mixer.
Fold in gumdrops and nuts.
Bake at 325° for 30 minutes, then increase heat to 350° and bake another 30 minutes or until done.
Frost with a thin icing. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
Beautiful at Christmas using red and green gumdrops.
