Greens with Hot Dressing
Greens With Hot Dressing is an moderately easy dinner. Wash, drain and dry lettuce and greens.
Add chopped green onions; set aside.
Fry bacon in a large skillet until crisp; drain.
Set aside skillet with the hot bacon fat still in it. Combine the vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper in a bowl. From the reserved skillet, pour off all but about 3 tablespoons of hot fat.
Pour the vinegar mixture into the skillet.
Place skillet over the hot coals; bring mixture to a boil.
Remove from heat and pour over the lettuce and spinach greens.
