Green Pea Casserole
Green Pea Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 (17 oz.) cans party green peas (lesueur preferred), 2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms (stems and pieces), 1 (4 1/2 oz.) pkg. slivered almonds, 1 small onion, minced and pimiento strips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Make white sauce by combining margarine, flour, salt and milk.
Cook over medium heat until thickened.
Drain peas and mushrooms.
Place in 9 x 13-inch casserole with onion and almonds.
Pour sauce over peas.
Garnish with pimiento strips.
Bake at 300Β° for 30 minutes.
