Green Beans in Cheese Sauce
Green Beans In Cheese Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/3 c. diced cheddar cheese, 2/3 c. milk, 1 tbsp. chopped pimento, 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce and 1/8 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine cheese, milk, pimento, Worcestershire sauce, salt and cayenne in double boiler.
Cook over boiling water until sauce is smooth.
May be cooked in microwave.
Crumble bacon.
Mix with bread crumbs tossed with a little margarine.
Place beans in greased pan.
Cover with bacon-bread crumb mixture.
Bake at 350Β° for 20 to 30 minutes until top is golden brown.
