Greek Spanikopitas
Greek Spanikopitas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. butter, 1/4 c. chopped yellow onion, 1 lb. chopped spinach, 1/2 c. crumbled feta cheese and 1/2 c. ricotta cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Saute butter, onions, spinach and garlic in skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes.
Transfer mixture to bowl and add cheeses.
Stir until blended.
Take 2 sheets of phyllo dough and cut in 1 1/2-inch strips.
Put 1 teaspoon of mixture on each strip and fold into a triangle.
When mixture is consumed by all the dough, brush each spanikopita with butter.
Bake on baking sheet at 350Β° for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
Serves 25 to 30 and makes an outstanding appetizer.
