Cream butter and sugar until lemon colored.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla.
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
Add to egg butter mixture.
To the raisins, add the cup flour and be sure each one is coated.
Put in large cake pan and cook about 3 hours between 250° and 275°.
