Grandmother Aldrich's Hot Rolls
Grandmother Aldrich'S Hot Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1/2 tsp. sugar, 1/2 c. flour, 1/4 c. sugar and 2 eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1/2 teaspoon sugar; let stand 10 minutes.
Add 1 1/2 cups water and 1/2 cup flour to yeast mixture.
Let stand 1/2 hour.
Add butter, sugar, salt, eggs and flour.
Knead and store in refrigerator until ready to knead again and make into rolls.
I let stand in refrigerator overnight.
Bake at 425Β° for 20 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen small or 2 dozen large.
