Grandma's Molasses Cremes
Grandma'S Molasses Cremes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1/2 c. butter, 2 c. brown sugar, 3 eggs and 1 c. dark molasses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cream together brown sugar, butter, shortening and eggs.
In another bowl, add molasses to boiling water, then mix in with creamed mixture.
Add all dry ingredients to creamed mixture and stir thoroughly until blended and smooth.
Bake at 350Β° in greased and floured 15 x 12 x 1-inch pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes (do not overbake).
While still warm, frost with thin white icing. Cool.
Cut into bars.
