Grandma's Molasses Cookies
Grandma'S Molasses Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. crisco shortening, 1 c. sugar, 1/4 c. molasses, 1 egg and 2 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Melt Crisco shortening in 4-quart saucepan over low heat. Remove and let cool.
Add sugar, molasses and egg to cooled shortening; beat well.
Sift together flour, soda, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and salt.
Add to first mixture.
Mix well.
Chill 2 hours.
Form into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
Place on a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
