Set the oven at 425Β°. Sift dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut shortening in. Pour in milk. Turn out on floured pastry board and knead. Pat or roll dough in 1/2 thickness wanted.
Cut biscuits. Place 1/2 inch apart on an unoiled pan. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
