Grandma's Gelatin Salad
Grandma'S Gelatin Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime jell-o, 1/3 c. sugar, 3/4 c. boiling water, 1/4 envelope knox gelatin and 1 small can crushed pineapple, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Combine Jell-O, sugar, boiling water and gelatin.
Stir until completely dissolved, then let cool.
Mix together cooled Jell-O, crushed pineapple, cottage cheese and nuts.
Let set until the consistency of egg whites.
Fold in whipped topping.
Place in a mold or dish and refrigerate.
This is very good and can be made several hours ahead of serving time, or even day before.
