Grandma's Dressing
Grandma'S Dressing is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 c. self-rising corn meal, 3 eggs, 1 c. chopped onion (green or white), 1 whole chicken, boil and deboned (reserve broth) and 2 tbsp. black pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix corn meal, buttermilk and eggs for corn bread.
Bake at 350° until done.
Crumble biscuits in bowl and add milk.
Let stand.
Simmer until tender the celery, onion, margarine and 1 cup water.
Combine: corn bread, biscuit mixture, onion-celery mix, chicken, chicken broth, chicken soup, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Bake at 350° until light brown on edges.
