Cream the butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift soda, chocolate and salt together.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk and water. Mix well.
Add vanilla. Stir, then bake in Bundt pan at 350Β° until done. Check by straw (broom straw) for doneness.
