Gougere(Serve With Very Easy Green Pepper Jelly) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. ground green peppers, 1 c. ground red peppers, 4 tbsp. ground hot pepper, 6 1/2 c. sugar and 1 1/2 c. cider vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Remove seeds from peppers.
Grind down and save the juice. (Measure ground peppers with juice.)
In saucepan, bring sugar, vinegar and peppers to a rolling boil.
Boil for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add Certo.
Cool and refrigerate in covered container.
(The jelly should be the consistency of chocolate pudding.)
