Combine ground crumbs, green pepper, dry mustard, garlic salt, salt, pepper, egg and catsup; shape into 16 balls (3 to 4 tablespoons per ball).
Place a cheese cube in center, shaping around.
Brown in lard; pour off drippings.
Tomato sauce, cover tightly and simmer 20 minutes. Remove continue simmering 5 to 10 minutes or until sauce is slightly thickened.
