Preheat oven to 350. Drain pineapple reserving juice.
Blend cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and 1/2 tsp. vanilla.
Stir in 1/2 cup pineapple and pour into crust. bake 25 - 30 minutes or until center is set.
Combine reserved juice with cornstarch and cook 3-4 minutes or until thickened and translucent.
Stir in remaining vanilla and cool slightly.
Arrange remaining pineapple around edge of pie.
