Glazed Onions Amandine
Glazed Onions Amandine is an easy dinner. Made with 36 small pearl onions or 3 c. sliced sweet onions, 2 tbsp. oleo, 1/2 c. slivered blanched almonds, 1/4 tsp. black pepper or lemon pepper and 2 tbsp. light brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cook onions in lightly salted boiling water until tender. Drain.
In skillet, melt oleo.
Add rest of ingredients and cook slowly, stirring until onions are glazed and lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
Delicious with roast beef or chicken.
I use lemon pepper in this.
Serves 4 to 6.
