Gingerbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c shortening, 1/2 c sugar, 2 eggs, 1 t baking soda and 3/4 c molasses, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream sugar and shortening with molasses.
Beat in eggs.
Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with sour milk to creamed mixture.
Pour into well greased 9-inch square pan.
