German Potato Salad
German Potato Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. potatoes, 3/4 c. onion, chopped, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. celery salt and 3/4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Boil potatoes with skins on.
Fry bacon until crisp; drain. Cook and stir onion in bacon drippings until tender and gold. Stir in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
Cook over low heat.
Stir until bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in water and vinegar.
Heat to boil; stir constantly.
Boil and stir 1 minute. Crumble bacon.
Dice potatoes.
Carefully stir bacon and potatoes in hot mixture.
Heat through.
Stir to coat potatoes.
