German Potato Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 potatoes, 6 to 10 fried slices bacon, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 2 tbsp. flour and 1 to 2 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Boil potatoes in their skin.
Peel and slice.
Fry bacon and set aside.
Cook onion in bacon fat.
Add flour, salt, celery seed, water and vinegar to onion and cook until it boils.
Boil one minute.
Pour over potatoes and add bacon.
Cover and let stand.
Serve warm.
