German Potato Dumpling is an easy dinner. Made with 8 medium size potatoes (3 lb.), 2 medium size onions (slice, saute in 2 tbsp. oil), 1 1/2 c. flour and 1 lb. swiss or cheddar cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Boil potatoes until fork pokes through.
Peel and mash while hot!
Add salt and flour to form patties 1/2-inch thick.
Cook patties in boiling water for 5 minutes.
Drain and place in 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan and layer with cheese and onion.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour.
