German Holiday Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, softened, 1/2 c. light brown sugar, 1/2 c. white sugar, 1 egg yolk and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream butter and sugars by hand.
Add egg yolk and mix. Gradually add flour.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Take a teaspoonful of dough and roll into a ball; flatten into 1 1/2-inch circle. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
Add pecan halves.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
Do not overbake.
Yields 4 dozen cookies.
