German Chocolate Pound Cake
German Chocolate Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. crisco or oil, 4 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla and 2 tsp. butter flavoring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, flavorings and buttermilk alternately with flour, salt and soda mixture.
Next, add melted chocolate and blend well.
Use 9-inch tube pan, greased and floured or Bundt pan, I prefer the latter.
Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300Β°.
Remove from cake pan.
Place cake under tight cover until cool.
This cake is very moist and light in texture.
