German Chocolate Cake
German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 oz. baker's chocolate, 1/2 c. boiling water, 2 c. flour, 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Melt chocolate in boiling water; cool.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add egg yolks; beat thoroughly.
Blend in vanilla and chocolate mixture.
To dry ingredients, add alternately the chocolate mixture and buttermilk, beating after each addition.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Pour into a greased tube pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 60 minutes.
Let cool in pan 15 minutes.
