German Chocolate Cake
German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. baker's german's sweet chocolate, 1/2 c. boiling water, 2 sticks margarine, 4 egg yolks (unbeaten) and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Boil water; add chocolate and cool.
Beat egg whites until fluffy.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add egg yolks.
Add melted chocolate and vanilla.
Mix well.
Sift salt, soda and flour together.
Add alternately with milk and vinegar mixture to chocolate mixture.
Beat until smooth.
Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour in 2 (9-inch) cake pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
When cool, cut layers in half.
Frost each layer and sides with Coconut Pecan Frosting.
