Garlic Rice
Garlic Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. long grain rice, 2 tsp. salt, 2 to 3 tbsp. crisco, 2 cloves garlic and 2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Soak the rice in water (which has had 2 teaspoons salt added) for at least 4 hours.
Strain and wash rice.
Drain.
Melt Crisco in pan.
Thinly slice garlic.
Add garlic, drained rice and 2 teaspoons salt to melted Crisco.
When rice starts to stick to pan, add water.
Cover when comes to a boil, turn down and simmer until water is absorbed, approximately 40 minutes.
