Garlic Cheese Grits
Garlic Cheese Grits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. quick grits, 1 (6 oz.) pkg. processed garlic cheese, 1/4 lb. butter, 2 eggs and sharp cheese, grated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cook grits according to the directions on the box.
Cook not dry, but stiff-soupy.
For consistency, add the garlic cheese. Cut the butter into small pieces for quick melting.
Break the eggs into a measuring cups; beat them with a fork, then add milk to finish filling up cup.
Add this to the grits; mix well.
Put into a buttered casserole; bake for 45 minutes at 300Β°.
Remove from oven.
Cover top with grated sharp cheese and generous dashes of paprika.
Return to oven; bake for 10 minutes longer, but leave in the oven until ready to serve so that it will be steaming hot. Serves 6 generously.
